MEET OUR TEAM
Gary Matherne began his career in the payment industry in 2001, serving in such roles as general sales manager, VP sales and marketing, and the role of President.
Prior to the founding of Priority Payment Systems Gulf Coast, he was President for Bankcard Processing International. He started in the industry after his internship in Bankcard St. Louis. Mr. Matherne is a native of Metairie, Louisiana and a graduate of Lindenwood University in St. Charles, Missouri.
Mr. Matherne oversees all aspects of the operations, including client services, fraud prevention, Sales, account implementation, commissions, vendor relationships and POS installation. Additionally, he serves on the Advisory council for Priority Payment Systems LLC.
VP Of Sales
After graduating from the University of West Florida, I began my career at Red Moss Media as an online advertising and marketing specialist. In 2003, I took a Support Analyst position with Best Software, Inc. Working directly with CPA firms, I helped them with best practices and supporting the firm software. I entered the payment industry in 2008 as an outside sales representative. In 2012, I took over the Sales Manager position which includes overseeing the marketing team, sales team, and supporting customers.

Of course pricing is an important factor, however, too many times merchants are left wading through issues with minimal help. We implement a “4 rings and Resolve” practice where your call will be answered by a real person, with in 4 rings, and your issue resolved! Now that’s customer service!!"
Eric McNamee began his career in financial services in 2003 as a loan officer for a private mortgage firm. In 2007 he expanded his career as an investment adviser for a Wall Street firm in NYC. Moving to Florida in 2011 he began working for Priority Payment Systems Gulf Coast as a Lead Technician for POS support and client services. Eric oversees the hardware and software installation for our Point Of Sale solutions, Network Management, and API Integrations. His knowledge of the industry helps Priority maintain our policy of always being a step or two ahead of the industries advancements. In his spare time he enjoys going to his kids sporting events, metal forging, fishing and tinkering with Raspberry Pi's.
In 2019, Cortney joined Priority Payment Systems Gulf Coast. Here she submits all incoming merchant applications to Underwriting, works with merchants who need technical support or download assistance with their terminals, or has a billing or related question and is responsible for setting up all gateway, or online accounts, file builds and terminal deployment.
Cortney has years of customer service experience in different industries. She is currently finishing her bachelor’s degree online from St. Louis University and will then pursue her master’s degree. In her free time, she can be found with her son at the beach. She has lived in Navarre, Fl since 2016 and is a native of Illinois.
Gift & Loyalty Specialist
Melody began her career in the merchant services industry in 2014 as a professional lead generator. Within six months she transitioned into the position of a sales representative for Priority Payment Systems Gulf Coast. Prior to starting her career with Priority she owned and operated Progress Employment, a permanent placement employment agency in Fort Walton Beach, Florida. She also maintained a branch office in Panama City, Florida. Melody brings 25 years of professional business-to-business sales experience. Her ability to pin point and identify the needs of prospective clients coupled with strong customer service skills have built long lasting relationships and helped to grow the Priority Payment Systems Gulf Coast customer base. Melody is a native of Fort Walton Beach Florida and reside on the beautiful Gulf Coast of Northwest Florida.
